Make a date for magical Makeup Mondays

With Christmas parties and festive gatherings fast approaching, my thoughts turn to party looks as well as polished professional everyday makeup.

I’ve teamed up with freelance professional makeup artist Nikki Shaw to give you the opportunity to come along to the face and skin clinic in the run up to Christmas and experience the gorgeous range of Youngblood mineral cosmetics. These are made of natural, finely ground minerals without any of the irritants found in conventional makeup and celebrity fans include Jessica Alba, Nicky Hilton, Tara Buck and Jennifer Aniston.

Nikki will be here at the clinic on Mondays, providing the following options as 30-minute lessons:

  • a mini-makeover,
  • eyes/brows,
  • contour/highlight,
  • skin and base.

My clients often tell me they’d love a bit of guidance on achieving that perfect smokey eye for evening or natural nude eye for a fresh everyday appearance. Well, Nikki is the lady to show you precisely how it’s done.

If done correctly contouring and highlighting can enhance your best features, bring out your cheekbones, slim your nose, and sculpt your face subtly using makeup, currently a very hot topic, whilst thorough skin preparation is crucial if you want your makeup to go on properly and stay in place. It’s like ‘cleanse, tone and moisturise’, but the other way around – prime, prep, apply! Mineral Primer is a colourless base which helps enhance the performance of makeup throughout the day. The lightweight, silky formula smoothes the appearance of fine line and pores, creating an even surface for foundation. Nikki will show you how to apply and blend your correct base shade.

Makeup Monday sessions cost £10, redeemable against any of the products and services we offer here at the clinic.

Appointments DO need to be booked, so please call us or pop along in person to arrange a time.

Remember, Christmas is a time to sparkle, so allow us to show you how!
