What is Cryotherapy and what does it treat?
Our Cryopen™ is an advanced cryotherapy innovation that is a fast, effective, safe and a new solution for the removal of skin imperfections. Procedures typically last from 5 to 30 seconds, so you can be in and out of the clinic quickly.
The Cryopen™ emits a fine jet of nitrous oxide under high pressure, which allows us to work with millimetre precision. This destroys the tissue by freezing the inter-cellular fluid, forming ice shards and crystals which ruptures the membrane, thereby destroying the cell. That means that there will be no collateral damage to healthy tissue. It’s so incredibly accurate and practical!
Cosmetic procedures such as skin tags, milia and age spots are no longer being treated on the NHS. With the Cryopen™, you can now have these treatments at our Hampshire clinic, situated in between Portsmouth and Southampton.
Our patients describe this as a very comfortable treatment, likening the sensation to a mild stinging nettle rash. There is very little downtime, however, if you are having your face treated you may want to leave two weeks before any special occasions.
Cryopen™ offers the ideal solution for:
- Skin tags
- Age Spots
- Cherry angioma
Many people can find such imperfections unsightly and it can have a negative impact on their life. With such a simple solution that this treatment offers, there is no need to look in the mirror and be irritated about what you see anymore!
Please note that we do not treat white or dark moles of any kind. Consult your GP if you have any mole concerns. Prices start from £70.
