Treating excessive underarm sweating (Hyperhidrosis) with Botox

I have both male and female patients come to see, often in a state of great distress and embarrassment, because although we all sweat, excessive underarm sweating (Hyperhidrosis) interferes with everyday life.

The condition ruins their shirts and they live in black and white tops or clothing which will not highlight the condition. They are often highly embarrassed by what has become a debilitating medical condition – it’s inconvenient, affects their quality of life and restricts activities which the majority of us take for granted.

I’ve had patients come along and tell me they’ve been prescribed medical deodorants, yet applying these causes pain. Another aspect is that they are embarrassed when they have to give presentations in the workplace or are out socialising.

Using Botox to treat Hyperhidrosis requires a higher dose than for cosmetic treatments. It works on the sweat glands rather than muscles and I have a 100% success rate to date with this treatment. It can also be used on the forehead to combat excessive sweating.

I see patients from Portsmouth, Southampton, Hampshire and further afield. Some are referred to me by fellow medical practitioners, others get in touch because they have researched Botox for Hyperhidrosis and know it is a quality of life treatment.

We are very sympathetic to your needs here at the face and skin clinic and delight in seeing patients go on to lead a fantastic quality of life after treatment, which lasts approximately eight months.

Please get in touch if this is an issue which affects your life. I really enjoy carrying out this treatment because it is truly life-changing.
