What can dermal fillers be used for?

Dermal fillers have long been a popular form of cosmetic treatment, helping you to enhance your look in a variety of ways. Whilst there are different types of filler that can be used, one of the most common is hyaluronic acid, which can be used for many different treatments. The filler is injected into the treatment area, usually to fill fine lines and wrinkles, but they can also be used to add volume and definition.

The Flexibility of Dermal Fillers

One of the main reasons that dermal fillers are such a popular form of treatment is that they offer a huge amount of flexibility in terms of how they can be used. Although they are more commonly known to treat fine lines and wrinkles on the face, they are able to do much more. As well as the face, many other areas of the body can be treated by dermal fillers. Dermal filler treatment areas include:

Fine lines and Wrinkles – Fillers are used to fill out fine lines and wrinkles on your face, typically found on the forehead, around the eyes and also around the mouth.

Lips – The lips can be enhanced with dermal fillers, plumping the lips and giving them more volume and definition.

Cheeks – Dermal fillers can be used to target the cheeks, especially if your face has lost volume over the years. This can create a tired appearance; however dermal fillers are able to add definition.

Nose – If you aren’t happy with your nose but do not want to go through surgery, dermal fillers can be the perfect solution. The fillers can now be used to target any bumps in your nose, as well as targeting any other concerns that you may have with the appearance of your nose.

Tear troughs – Tear trough lines and a loss of volume may be the cause of your tired-looking eyes. However, dermal fillers can be used to target these concerns, helping to rejuvenate your eyes for a fresher look.

Earlobes – Sagging skin and sun damage can both cause you to be concerned with your earlobes, and encourage you to seek ways to improve their appearance. Dermal fillers can be used to target wrinkles and sagging skin, ensuring that your earlobes are much nicer on the eye.

Chin – Chin augmentation is another treatment that dermal fillers are used for, helping to improve your chin without the need for surgery, despite only being a temporary solution to concerns with your chin.

Décolletage – Ageing can have a big impact on the appearance of the décolletage area, of which age spots and skin texture can be a concern. Dermal fillers can be used to address these issues, rejuvenating the skin and adding moisture.

Hands – Hands are another area of the body that is affected by the ageing process, with the loss of volume one of the most common issues. Dermal fillers can help to enhance the hands, and reduce the signs of ageing.

Feet – Dermal fillers injected into the feet are often done so in order to enhance the appearance of your feet, but also to provide more cushion and to reduce pain when walking.
